This continued until September 2008, when the Morton family left Coronation Street. Barden was first introduced as a film actress in Mrs. Ratcliffe's Revolution. In 2009 she played the role in the role of Pea on stage in the play Jerusalem at the Royal Court Theatre in London and was later transferred to the Apollo Theatre in the West End.
